Welcome to the The Environmentalist Nurse website! I am so glad you are here. I initially hadn’t planned to do a blog, but with a podcast I think that it is almost mandatory, lol. Also, it can give additional information and/or make information, websites, etc. easier to find. So here is my first blog post.
First, let me start by introducing myself. My name is LaDonna Gaines. I have been a registered nurse since 2006. I received a Masters of Public Health (MPH) degree with a concentration in Environmental Health and Toxicology. I also received a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2020, with a concentration in Healthcare Systems Administration/Informatics. After getting my MPH, I became interested in knowing more about environmental justice, environmental health, and climate change. I completed a The Environmentalist Nurse Podcast
