About the Host

LaDonna Gaines

LaDonna is a doctorally prepared nurse with a Masters of Public Health with a concentration in Environmental Health and Toxicology. In her almost 20 years as a nurse, she has worked in positions ranging from a Hematology/Oncology Staff Nurse to a Medical Case Manager. She is a 2022-2023 Fellow of the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments (ANHE), a 2023-2024 and 2026 Mentor for the ANHE Fellowship program, and a member of the Climate Advocacy Lab’s Climate + Health Peer Learning Circle, 2023-2024. She sits on the Advisory Board for Nurse Heroes for Zero. She was recently named an ANHE Regional Forum Organizer for 2025-2026.

On a more personal note, LaDonna is single with no kids. She is a dog mom and enjoys taking care of her plants. She enjoys volunteering, playing corn hole, and traveling in her free time.
